How pricing works:
- Hosts cover new insurance fees for the extended period
- Mobi absorbs platform fees
This feature is especially powerful for hosts focused on long-term utilization and renter retention.
Active Vehicle Swap
Vehicle issues happen - but that doesn’t mean the rental (or your revenue) has to end.
With Active Vehicle Swap, you can:
- Move a renter into another active vehicle from your fleet without ending the trip
- Preserve longer rentals that might otherwise be cut short
- Keep high-quality renters on the platform and earning
Costs:
- For active trips, hosts cover new insurance fees; Mobi absorbs platform fees
- For upcoming trips (before the rental starts), swaps are zero-cost since insurance hasn’t been issued yet
This tool is a key driver behind longer average rental lengths - often extending trips to 17 days or more.

To support trust & safety, rentals cannot begin later than 11 PM, with 9 PM preferred for most hosts.
